Bu çalışma stanbul’daki ortaöğretim kurumlarında bulunan, eski yıllardaoluşturulmuş canlılara ait koleksiyonların envanteri üzerine yapılmıştır. 2005 ve 2006yıllarında yapılan araştırma sonunda, stanbul’da çalışma kapsamı içine giren 394ortaöğretim kurumu içinde, genel ortaöğretim kurumlarından 11 okul, özel ortaöğretimkurumlarından 36 okul olmak üzere toplam 47 okulda hayvan, bitki ve jeolojiörneklerinden oluşan koleksiyon bulguları saptanmıştır. Bunlardan 16 okuldakiörneklerin bu çalışma amaçlarına uygun koleksiyon oluşturabilecek nitelikte ve sayıdaolduğu belirlenmiştir.Koleksiyonu olan okullardaki örneklerin günümüzdeki durumları incelenerek hangibüyük kategoriler içine girdiği, koleksiyon tarihçesi ve saklanma koşulları saptanmıştır.Çalışmayı iki bölüme ayırmak mümkündür. Birinci bölümde koleksiyonlar ve doğatarihi müze leri ile ilg ili genel bilgiler verildikten sonra stanbul’daki okullarda bulunankoleksiyonlar ile ilgili bilg ilerin verildiği bölümler yer almaktadır. stanbul’daki ortaöğretim kurumlarında bulunan koleksiyonların örnekleriningruplandırılmasında kullanılan sistematik kategori ve taksonlar verildikten sonrakoleksiyonu olan okullar sınıflandırılıp koleksiyonlarının durumları incelenmiştir. Okulkayıtlarından ve ilgili öğretmenlerden alınan bilgilerden koleksiyonun geçmişteki vegünümüzdeki durumu arasında oluşan farklılıklar ele alınmış, yapılması gerekenleredeğinilmiştir.Koleksiyonu olan okullar içinden, örnek zenginliğ i ve oldukça eski tarihli olmasınedeniyle 16 adet okulun koleksiyonları üzerinde durulmuş, bunların envanteri verilmişve halen bulundukları okullarda sergilendikleri mekanlardaki fotoğrafları ile birliktesunulmuştur. Bunlara ek olarak okulların tarihçesine de değinilmiş, bu koleksiyonlarıngenellikle okulların kuruluş tarihleri kadar eski olduğu ve toplanan örneklerin biyolojieğitiminde kullanıldıkları tespit edilmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda, stanbul’da araştırılan okullar içinde hangi okullarda bitki, hayvanve jeoloji koleksiyonlarının olduğu ilk defa bu çalışma ile belirlenmiştir. Bu okullariçinde Özel Saint Joseph Fransız Lisesi tabiat müzesinin stanbul’daki en zengin içeriklive iyi korunan koleksiyonu olduğu saptanmıştır. Diğer okullarda bulunan, büyükçoğunluğu Türkiye’den toplanan koleksiyonların ise okullardaki bakımsızlık ve uygunolmayan saklanma koşulları nedeniyle yakın gelecekte kaybolma tehlikesi altındaolabilecekleri büyük olasılıktır.<br>#520 3 |

This study is about inventory of collections of organisms and geological materialscreated in earlier years in secondary schools in Istanbul. The study was carried out inthe years of 2005 and 2006 and included 394 secondary schools in Istanbul. Of theseeducational establishments, evidences of collections of animals, plants and geologicsamples were determined in totaly 47 schools; of these 11 have been public schools and36 were private schools. In 16 schools samples are identified as to be convenient tocompose a collection both qualitatively and quantitatively in terms of this study.Samples in schools those have a collection were analyzed and we determined the historyof collections and the storage conditions and also the higher category of collections. It ispossible to divide the study in two parts. In first, general information was providedabout collections and natural history museums and in second there are chapters aboutcollections in secondary schools in Istanbul.After providing systematic categorization and taxons used in classif ication of samples incollections in secondary schools in Istanbul, schools those have collections were alsoclassified and analyzed. Using school registries and verbal information from teachers,differences between past and current situations of collections were discussed andpreventive measures were mentioned.The schools those have collections, 16 schools were emphasized because of their rich andolder collections; inventory of these collection samples were provided and presentedwith their photos in their exhibition places. Additionally history of schools was alsomentioned; it is determined that collections are older as history of their schools andsamples are used in biology class education.As a conclusion, this is the first study determining which schools in Istanbul have plant,animal and geologic collections. Natural museum of Private Saint Josephs French HighSchool is the richest and very well preserved collection amongst all. Collections of otherschools were mostly collected in Turkey and because of lack of proper care and badstorage conditions it is possible that these collections may disappear in the near future. |
